Does Elena Come Back in Season 8- Find Out Here!

On March 11, 2016, The CW announced the continuation of the American supernatural drama The Vampire Diaries for its eighth and final season. The CW said that the following season, which will have 16 episodes, will be the final one for the show on July 23, 2016. On October 21, 2016, the season began, and it ended on March 10, 2017. The series finale would see Nina Dobrev reprise her role as Elena Gilbert, it was revealed on January 26, 2017. On February 24, 2017, the conclusion of the episode “It’s Been a Hell of a Trip” made it known that Dobrev would also return to the show to play Katherine Pierce.

The Revelation

Stefan enters the afterlife after saying goodbye with a sad hug. Bonnie breaks the enchantment cast over Elena, causing her to finally awaken.

Reason Behind Elena’s Disappearance

The antagonist Kai Parker (Chris Wood) cast a sleeping spell on Elena in the Season 6 finale, connecting her to her best friend Bonnie (Kat Graham). Elena stayed in a profound sleep if Bonnie was alive. To ensure that her best friend would live a long life and to provide Dobrev a clear exit, Elena willingly entered that state. As Dobrev left, Damon and Stefan, who had already taken centre stage in The Vampire Diaries, received an even bigger role.
The importance of The Vampire Diaries’ ensemble cast, which went beyond Elena’s plot, increased as the series went on. Nonetheless, Dobrev’s departure brought about a significant upheaval. But she simply felt ready to go, so that was her only excuse.

How Does Elena Come Back to the Series!

Elena dominated the remaining episodes of The Vampire Diaries despite Dobrev’s departure. The former star’s comeback for the series finale in 2017 was therefore only fitting.
The final episode, “I Was Feeling Epic,” even featured a cameo by Elena’s vampire twin Katherine to fully exploit Dobrev’s guest role. Much of the episode was devoted to the protagonists’ efforts to end the sleeping curse and their visits to Elena, who was caught between life and death. Elena is shown living a long and fulfilling life with Damon once she has been liberated by Bonnie and they are both now human.
The cliched tale of a teenage girl grieving the loss of her parents and a vampire who becomes fixated on the girl who looks like his ex is where it all begins. The epic voyage of “The Vampire Diaries,” a successful series that would later give rise to two spin-offs, starts here. Elena (Nina Dobrev) experienced ups and downs throughout her passionate and occasionally gruesome run on the show.

Conclusion

There is disagreement among many “Vampire Diaries” viewers over Elena, but there is no denying that she is the show’s soul. The path Elena took to recover from the loss of her parents is significant. By the end of the series, she had been in love twice and discovered her destiny. Nonetheless, many people could point out that Elena herself did not finish the race. Elena is placed in a supernatural coma at the conclusion of Season 6, where she must stay until the passing of her best friend Bonnie (Kat Graham).
